*About Me*

I don't know about you guys, but when I'm reading blogs or watching videos, I like to know who the person is that I am watching or reading. So, I will tell y'all a bit about me and also give you some interesting facts about myself! So, let's get started!! :-P

Minnie, Me and Micley - June 2011

I will begin with the obvious. My name is Keri and I am from teeny, tiny Rhode Island. I have lived in Rhode Island almost my whole life. I moved to Florida last year for eight months because I got an internship with Walt Disney World. I worked at Disney's Animal Kingdom at Kilimanjaro Safaris. I got to drive a 30ft long, 9ft wide truck on a 12ft wide path and look at and talk about beautiful African Animals all day long!!  It seriously was the BEST experience of my life! I will remember it forever and someday I will end up back living in Florida! :)

I am 28-years-old and a senior at Roger Williams University. I have been in college for a while, but will finally be graduating in December 2012! I am studying communications with a strong concentration in journalism. When I finally do graduate, I would LOVE to work for a beauty-related magazine. Working for Cosmo would be my ultimate dream!! I am also minoring in Portuguese. Lots of people who don't personally know me ask me 'why?'. They think it is an odd subject to minor in. Well, my nationality is Portuguese and I have been taking the language in school since I was real little and am very fluent in the language, so I figured it only make sense to study it in school. Plus, where I live, the Portuguese language is extremely common so it is very helpful to know it.

Unfortunately, when I was just 10 years old, I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease. Crohn's disease is basically inflammation of the gastrointestinal (GI) tract. The symptoms are so not fun and are very painful. There is no cure for Crohn's at this time. It can sometimes be treated with medication, but a lot of the times surgery is needed. I have literally had one hell of a struggle with this disease. I have been hospitalized over 50 times, sometimes for weeks at a time. I have been on lots of medications. I also had to have 4 major surgeries and countless minor ones. I wont get into much detail about my experience with Crohn's because I want to keep this blog light and fun. But, if you do want to know more about my experience living with it or want to talk more about it, please just message me and I will gladly talk more about it.

Halloween 2011 - Wearing giraffe makeup

I was never really one to wear makeup on a daily basis; that was my sister's job. Growing up, she was the girly girl of the family. I didn't start experimenting with makeup until I was in high school. I was in 10th grade when I bought my first palette. I remember it being a really cheap one that I bought from Walmart. I only really used it for 'special occasions'. I did not wear makeup on a daily basis. I did, however, wear lip gloss every single day! When I was in college, I started playing around with makeup more often. I was going out more, meeting new people and having fun, so I wanted to make sure I looked as good as I possibly could. Once I started getting into putting on makeup, I actually really enjoyed it and started wearing it on a daily basis. I didn't own any high end products, but I did up my game from cheapy no-named makeup from Walmart to popular drugstore brand makeup, like Cover Girl and Revlon. So let's fast forward about 10ish years -- I went from liking makeup to being completely in love and utterly obsessed! Haha! Everything about makup makes me happy - from purchasing it to organizing it to applying and wearing it!

Jaymyson and Preston - January 2012

I have two amazingly beautiful nephews. Jaymyson is 4-years-old and Preston is 5-months old. They are my world and I do not know what I would do without them. Jaymyson is hilarious and so much fun! He is also so smart for his age. His preschool even wants him to skip a grade and head right to kindergarten next year!! Preston is so funny. He is way too cute for his own good. His smile just lights up my day! He is just so much fun to be around! I am so happy that I live so so close to them. I love being such a big part of their lives. It is so much fun watching them grow and learn! :)

Lucky the Yorkiepoo - November 20
I also have a cute little dog named Lucky. He is a rescue that I saved about 4 months ago. His previous owners were very cruel to him and left him alone for days at a time. But, he is with me now and living the good life! He is half Yorkie and half Poodle - they call his breed a 'Yorkiepoo'! Haha! How cute is that name!? He is 8-years-old but acts like a pup!
Well, I think that is it for now. If you would like to know anything else, please don't be shy; email me! I will gladly answer any and all questions! :)

Stay forever beautiful! :-P
